Seems tough and good enough quality. My son is thrilled with it though I find it rather soulless. Lots of features and very accurate timekeeping. Light only illuminates the digital time, not the analogue face at all. Should last a good few years.

Brought to use on holiday. Light weight ,solar powered and water proof. What more could you want.

My new watch is great. Its the Casio Sports Watch AQ-S810W-1AVEF. Strong and black and very masculine looking. Its all I had hoped for. Clear numbers, comprehensive applications, digital and analogue, easy operated alarms, and an all round great buy. The price was very competitive from Watch Shop and was delivered on time and without hassle. Fully satisfied. Thank you.

Sent it back to you felt too cheap and wasn't what I really wanted! So I bought the Casio G~shock 5610 instead!

This is a very handy watch for everyday wear. It has a lot of great features alarms countdown timer, stopwatch and if you on holiday abroad, dual time. I use the countdown timer a lot for cooking, it is very easy to configure. The main draw for me is the solar power so there is no need for battery changes and due to this the 100m water proofing will not be compromised. Some people have commented on the poor luminescence but I have found mine to work very well. My only criticism of the watch is that you cant have the day and date displayed at the same time but you can toggle it very quickly. The watch despite its looks is very light and thanks to the relatively small face doesnt look daft on my thin wrists. A steal at the price I paid, if it had the wavecepter feature it would be perfect. Highly recommended.

Just what I wanted. A good inexpensive diving watch wirh clear illuminated figures and a dual zone digital read out with a light. Solar/light powered for what is hope a long life.

I wanted a watch that is tough and waterproof- or at least, highly water resistant. This watch is to be used on weekends and holidays rather than to wear with a suit on workdays. It will get knocked around- doing jobs in the garden and out and about. The credentials of this watch tick all the boxes- and the solar charging is a bonus feature. So far, it has survived being dropped in a water butt, having a barrow load of wood dropped on it and several trips to the supermarket and is unscathed and unphased by its misadventures. Although its a bit big for my taste, it turns out to be smart enough to even have had the occasional day at work matched with a white shirt and suit. Overall? Very pleased.

Had this watch previous and on,y replaced when the screen to damage to see the time. Brilliant watches tough as anything, easy to read dial and simple to set up..plus you dont even need to replace the battery. Tough rugged looks for work and also looks good when out when wearing casual clothing..
Would choose this watch again without any hesitation.

Light, comfortable and robust, however the backlight illuminates the digital display only. The analog lume is applied to the hands, 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions only and fades rapidly. Still a good watch at that price.

Looks good. I thought I would try a solar powered one for a change so it will be interesting to see how long the battery survives the recharging process. The solar panel/battery combination which runs our bathroom radio has worked for about 20 years so if this watch matches that I will be very pleased!

This is a great watch full of features including world time and 5 alarms which is great cause you cant miss tea times. Only down side is the month format its American, month first then date which is frustrating when writing out official documents and you have to scrap the whole thing and explain why to your boss. Great that It has an metre to tell you when it needs placing in the light to charge up. It is a comfortable watch to wear and a peace of mind being water reisitant to 100m

I am a reasonably happy owner of a Casio G-Shock G-Rescue Alarm Chronograph Radio Controlled watch GW-7900-1ER but with decidedly less than perfect eyesight I have some trouble reading the time, particularly at night.
I bought this watch in the hope that I wouldnt keep having to wear my glasses to see the time. I find it very comfortable to wear, easy to use and I love that it is solar powered. In daylight its great but I am somewhat disappointed to discover that, despite the word Illuminator printed on it, the only illumination it provides is a fairly weak glow in the tiny digital time window necessitating me donning my glasses again at night. However, that said, I am very happy with this watch, especially given the price.

Comfortable to wear, keeps good time (so far) but a little disappointing that the illumination function is limited to the microscopic digital display. Still need to wear my glasses to see the time after dark.

Price for my Casio was very good, looked for ages and cant decide what Casio to get, its only for work/play and needed a cheap, robust watch. This ticks the boxes and I am very pleased with it. Not too big, very light so feels good on the wrist. Illumination of the digital display could be better, goes off before I have had a chance to focus on it! Not an issue though as the hands and hour markers glow in the dark anyway.

A very poor watch for the money paid. The buttons are shrouded and difficult to press the date is in a US format which makes it look like the time eg 26th May is represented as 5.26.seconds. It is light and very large and feels extremely cheap. I would doubt this cost more than £1 to manufacture.

Tricky to start with, but all sorted

Bought primarily for holiday wear and swimming. Solar charge is a good feature - prevents compromising the water seal with battery changes. Wanted a good clear analogue dial and this meets the requirement. Bright white hands and dial - easy to see under water. Feels and looks good on the wrist. Only minor niggle is that the strap overlap doesnt lock down flush - the end sticks out after the feed through band and looks a tad untidy. Still, for the price, cant expect a proper sports strap.

Purchased for the ability to use whilst swimming. Solar charge is a good feature and avoids compromising water resistance with battery changes. Excellent visibility analogue dial, which is what I wanted.

This is a nice looking watch that does what it says on the tin. The strap is a little uncomfortable on first wearing but once the plastic of the strap warms up it is very comfortable.

Just what I wanted. And at a good price as well. Only issue I have is the light only lights up the small digital read out, does not illuminate the whole clock face. Also would have been nice for the digital display to read out the date, not just the time or day of the week. Still happy enough though.

Bought for everyday wear, like the idea of not having to replace the battery. The face detail & hands are clear to read & stand out well when in the dark. The plastic strap has plenty of adjustment but does feel a little uncomfortable. It took me a while to understand the instructions to set up, in particular the analog hand setting. There are some useful features like world time & alarms.

The watch itself is very good as expected. So far not any problem and hope there wont be.

The watch was purchased to be used as a work watch which did not matter if it got accidently damaged, this watch fulfils this requirement and is as advertised. I needed a very clear dial so as to be able to read it without the use of reading glasses and it is perfect for my requirements. The digital panel could do with being larger but my main requirement was a large analogue face which this has 32mm dia excluding the case. The watch is very light for its size and is comfortable to ware and being waterproof to 10bar I need not worry when submerging my arms whilst doing pond maintenance and fishing. Having a backlight to the digital display is a bonus when wearing it at night as the aluminous hands and the 9,12&3 oclock positions do not stay lit for very long after exposure to light. The watch has a lot of functions I will not require such as alarms and different time zones around the world but it seems to be keeping good time and you set the time on the digital display and the hands then repeat it which is very good and easy and should it loose synchronisation as mine has once it can be easily reset. The strap is made of plastic which Im sure I will have to replace with a metal one in the future but for the price I believe it is a very practical timepiece.

This watch is excellent value for money. It does everything that you want a watch to do. Stopwatch, 5 alarms, world time and the added feature of being solar power. The watch is an excellent fit, extremely light but still quite chunky. Looks just like a real g shock but an eighth of the cost. The only thing I dislike about this watch is that the light only illuminates the digital display not the whole face.
I especially like the fact that the time is set using the digital display and the hand adjust accordingly which makes seeing the time a piece of cake. Very happy with this purchase and next day service by watchshop.

My only criticism is that the LCD display, when set to date/seconds, can be confusing as there is no separation between the day of the month and the seconds count.

Very good purchase - comfortable fit, many useful modes e.g. the 5 alarms, the water resistance is handy as Im in to the outdoors and need it to withstand quite a bit and personally I think it looks quite cool! The solar panel to recharge the battery is very useful as well!
One down side: the glow in the dark parts should really glow a bit more at night they can be quite dim.

I love this watch. I wanted a chunky watch that looked good worn casually but could handle a knock and be able to withstand a bit of water thrown at it. This watch fits the bill perfectly. The price of the watch made it even more appealing. The fact that the watch could recharge its battery whilst I got sunburn clinched it for me. Its got the usual complications i.e world clock, alarm, timer, stop watch, etc. Some have mentioned the light not being bright enough but Ive had no issues maybe its because I bring the watch up to my nostrils to read it. Couldnt be happier.

I own and wear this watch now for over 8 months. It is all you can want from a watch. It runs very accurate it is 1 second a week too fast and is easy to operate. I wear it 24x7 and never feel it on my wrist. The analog hands are just awesome. The colours are great. It tolerates rough handling. It withstands rain and snow.
Its a wear and forget watch. But it shows time when needed. The best watch I ever owned. Changing between summer and winter times is simple and fast.

Perhaps a third hand for the seconds would be nice but it would also drive up operating current and hence make it consume lots more power.

This watch is very good. It is large but not like having a clock on my arm. It taken a good few knocks and is still ticking. It doesnt mark easily. The solar charge is a lot better than I was expecting. Very little light is required to charge it and as its winter at the moment Im wearing mostly long sleeved top but it still manages to pick up enough light through the fabric. The only low point is if you use the stop watch or timer features it does hammer the battery. The same goes for fiddling with the settings a lot.

This watch is very well made and it was not a mistake in buying it. This is my first every watch to be charge by solar light, I use it every day and it has never gone down below High battery level. This was a surprise to my as I dont know what to expect. The watch itself is very easy to use, just change the time is so easy to do. Changing the digital time then automatically changes the hands. The watch design is very well made and extremely comfortable on your wrist. I have had no problems with setting and the wrist band. You cant hardly notice the watch on your wrist as it surprised by how light it was. I would definitely recommend this watch to anyone looking for a new one.

I purchased this model for its look, style, colour, big face & numbers and: also that it was Solar powered. Ive yet to find out what life span the rechargeable battery will have.

Cons: digital section of the watch is to busy, 5 alarms, world times, etc. A simple permanently displayed day & date section would have been better.

An excellent watch for the money. my only complaint would be that the light is a little dull on the digital readout.

Chose this watches for sports outfit and different activities like skiing, cycling, swimming. This item attracted me by design, size, solar powered movement and price, of course. Fits comfortable, looks great, very light, functionality is also quite good. Plastic, as a case material, has a bonus: it’s not cold like metal actual for north regions.
Solar powered movement is great. I just wear this watch all day long, which supports medium charge level now, in winter time.
World time is good. Easy to use, easy to switch to other time zone, if you need. And easy to revise.
Alarm just works. You can settle up to 5 alarms. Unfortunately you can’t chose the signal, it’s volume and duration. But still it wakes me every day with no problem. Wish to have some warning about active alarm on standby screen.
Timer is fine, has up to 10 repeats. Maximum time is 99 min 55 sec.
Stopwatch also works with no problem. The only issue is that it will reset after 59 min 59 sec.
In general this watch is awesome, but it has some issues to me:
- Date format. In my country we use DD.MM which is not available in this watch
- Date and weekday. You just don’t have such screen. Casio thinks that seconds indication is a must for each display. We have: time “Hours : Minutes : Seconds” which is normal, date “Month. Date. Seconds” which is strange, weekday “Weekday. Seconds”. This is very strange. I would like to have “Date & Weekday” screen, I don’t need this seconds all around.

I bought this for my husband for Xmas as he wanted a tough watch to wear skiing. It has a nice easy to read face and is light to wear. Very manly in a chunky way. Complicated to set up but good value for the price. Husband is pleased with it which is what counted!

Nice looking watch, looks more expensive than it actually costs. Although it looks a chunky and heavy watch it is extremely light.
A feature I really like is when you set the digital part of the watch, the hands of the analogue watch turn to that exact time.
I would have liked a second hand as that is shown only in the digital section and is unavailable during stopwatch and timer events and gets obscured by the other hands when they are in that area of the face. The light would have been better lighting up the whole face and not just the digital.
Overall a very nice everyday timepiece.

I bought this watch as a Christmas present for my thirteen year old son and he was delighted when he received it - even though it is a mans watch he can still wear it despite his relatively small wrists.
It does not have a second hand on the watch face but is nevertheless synchronized with the digital display which can display seconds. The solar powered watch has many good features with quality in both design and manufacture, and I am very pleased it arrived very quickly and in good condition.

Really nice stylish watch. Its not too big, not too small, perfect size and a perfect gift for my boyfriend whos in the army. The hour and minute hands as glow in the dark. the numbers are big and they also glow in the dark. This watch is FANTASTIC!.. It has all the features you need,World Time, Date,twin alarms, a stop watch. It has a large face with easy to read dials,luminescent clock hands and lit LCD display.
The watch looks great on any wrist and the strap is of good quality and very light weight.
The best feature is that it is solar powered. No battery required and it charges in less than an hour even in less light.Also the watch intelligently shuts off the digital display when in the dark to save power if needed so dont panic your watch is working fine .
The only downside is I would have preferred the watch to be more dark black in colour. Its actually dark stone grey. And at £35 its a steal!

The solar panel quickly charged the battery and keeps it full, but the instructions are poorly worded so setting the correct date and time was complicated and slow. The light only illuminates the liquid crystal display, not the hands Id prefer to see the hands.
